The machine rings Rohrbach and Urfahr have been working together with combined strength since 2020. At the General Assembly, the merger into the Granitland machine ring was also officially decided.
More than 300 Maschinenring members, employees and many guests of honor were present in Gramastetten when the cooperation was sealed. The chairmen Thomas Neudorfer and Johann Leitner confirmed: “We were always convinced of this cooperation. The Granitland machine ring developed well and it is a pleasure for us as those responsible to see how the Granitland machine ring has established itself in the two districts.”
Managing Director Johannes Enzenhofer reported on the already well-functioning cooperation and a good result despite challenging years. Enzenhofer is convinced that the merger will also result in a more professional appearance: “Only through a professional appearance and a good team spirit in the Mühlviertel can we offer our services to our customers and win new employees for them.”
In the previous year, the Maschinenring Granitland organization had a turnover of almost 10 million euros, more than 3000 customers in the catchment area of the two districts of Urfahr and Rohrbach as well as in the entire city of Linz rely on the services. A team of 18 employees is available for customers at the customer center location in Bad Leonfelden.
New chairman from St. Martin
In the future, a ten-member board will steer the fortunes of the 2,000-strong association. Elisabeth Engleder from St. Martin was elected chairwoman, her deputy is Stefan Danninger from Lichtenberg. As a motto, the new chairman named: “Talk to each other, appreciate each other – be successful together.”

Johann Leitner from Lichtenberg received a special honor and award for his more than 26 years of voluntary work as chairman of the Urfahr machine ring: In addition to the honorary chairmanship, he also received the golden badge of honor of the Austrian machine ring from federal chairman Christian Angerer. Deputy chairman of the Maschinenring Rohrbach Franz Ammerstorfer from Lembach was awarded the Silver Badge of Honour. State Secretary Claudia Plakolm, among others, congratulated the award.
