The municipal swimming pool of Schaerbeek will finally reopen following years of renovation work. From September 18, Brussels residents will once once more be able to enjoy a dip in the Neptunium, which has been closed since 2017.
On the occasion of the reopening, on Saturday September 16, various activities will be offered: aquagym sessions, scuba diving, underwater hockey, a synchronized swimming show, guided tours… The swimming pool will be officially open to the public on September 18.
The renovation work that started in 2017 took longer than expected. Postponed several times due to the need for additional work, the opening finally took place six years later.
The Neptunium swimming pool has existed since 1953. The energy value of the building has been improved and current safety and hygiene standards have been reinforced.
