After encountering some difficulties during its development, GranBlue Fantasy Relink finally has a release window! The announcement was accompanied by a sumptuous trailer mixing cinematics and gameplay during the Playstation Showcase this evening.
GranBlue Fantasy Relink arrive enfin !
Presented to the general public for the first time in 2016, Granblue Fantasy Relink took a long time to find a release date. But this time it’s the right one. The new action-RPG opus of the Cygames license is on the right track and made it known during the Playstation Showcase with a new trailer.
In terms of the images shown, nothing exotic for regulars of the genre. We find anime graphics faithful to the license, a colorful universe, but also and above all action, the heart of the gameplay which gives pride of place to dantesque confrontations.
A complex development
This brief appearance at the Playstation Showcase is great news in more ways than one. Even if Granblue Fantasy Relink never really left the radar, the software underwent a complex development, in particular because of its reinternalisation within Cygames. Originally, it was thought of as a crossover project between the creators of the license and PlatinumGames, before a simple end-of-contract story gets involved.
Since then, Cygames has always maintained the link with the fans and planned a release for 2022. Unfortunately, nothing happened, but don’t panic. Granblue Fantasy Relink is coming very soon! The title is now expected for winter 2023 (the very end of the year) on PS5, PS4 and PC via Steam.
