The Mayor’s Office of Granada, has begun the days of ornamentation of boulevards, located in the main streets and avenues of the colonial city, with the aim of continuing to beautify it.
On the morning of Tuesday, March 21, staff from the Municipal Ornament office set out to plant ornamental plants on Avenida Elena Arellano, one of the main entrances to the city, which connects with the Granada-Masaya highway.
“We are making an effort to beautify the boulevards, so that the population sees that in a few months the city will be more beautiful,” said Juan Jacamo, head of Municipal Ornament of the Mayor’s Office of Granada.
Jacamo reported that they hope to plant some 800 plants on Arellano Avenue, and then they will be moving to the boulevards of Calle Inmaculada, Atravesada and Xalteva.
Likewise, he invited the population to contribute to the care and protection of the plants, also calling on the owners of livestock to prevent them from wandering the streets damaging the vegetation.
