In just a few days, car simulation fans and virtual car collectors will finally be able to get their hands on Gran Turismo 7. Almost 5 years following GT Sport, and 9 years following Gran Turismo 6, it’s grid time approach!
From Formula 1 to GT, there is only one step
Whether voluntary or not, Grand Touring 7 comes as motorsport prepares to kick off the new season. Last weekend, Formula 1 was on the side of Barcelona for the first winter tests, while the developers of Gran Turismo 7 were preparing for the launch of the game. The link between the two? Esteban Ocon. The French driver from the BWT Alpine team, winner of the Hungarian Grand Prix last season, has signed a contract with Sony Interactive Entertainment to become the French ambassador for Gran Turismo 7.
Presented as a historical fan of the license, he will therefore be present alongside the players throughout the year. Beyond the association of the image of an F1 driver with the license, this partnership will allow players to get advice, but also to challenge the Norman driver ! Throughout the season, players will be able to participate in game sessions online with him. These sessions will be broadcast on Twitch, and will involve guests who are not yet known. In addition to that, the pilot will issue various challenges to the playerswho will have to beat very high level times.
As a reminder, Gran Turismo 7 will be released March 4 on PS4 and PS5. At launch, players will be able to experience 420 vehicles and compete on 90 tracks. They can also take advantage of several game modes, including the GT Campaign, Arcade mode, driving school, and photo mode. Of course, buyers will be able to compete with each other in the various online modes.
