Gran Turismo 7: a player comes across aliens, the WTF video

Game News Gran Turismo 7: a player comes across aliens, the WTF video

Gran Turismo 7, a simple car game? Certainly not ! Polyphony Digital has apparently inserted a very nice easter egg with a completely different type of vehicle, which a player has just spotted during a lap on the circuit.

Cars Attack

Like all episodes of the franchise, Grand Touring 7 is a real love letter to the automobile: the game is an excellent way to appreciate the finesse and particularities of hundreds of cars, but also to learn a whole lot of things regarding the industry thanks to a very strong educational component. A real museum! However, that didn’t stop the developers from slipping in a few discreet jokes, like… an alien invasion.

You read correctly : aliens are present in Grand Touring 7. Several players realized this during a lap on Mount Panorama: following waiting a while, a flying saucer in its most traditional form appears and, even worse, arrives to abduct a cow from the prairie, from the skies.

A wink visible from afar, but which we can fortunately appreciate a little better thanks to the Photo mode, allowing the camera to be brought closer and to take very high definition shots. It’s wacky, yes, but also quite funny in a game like this and therefore necessarily crisp.

A new update today

This friendly easter egg is an opportunity to remember that patch 1.07 has just been deployed, today, Thursday, March 17. So, what’s new on the program? A bunch of fixes and balancing, regarding certain rewards or car behaviors, while a new sound option has also been added.

Another really annoying bug, which appeared inadvertently during the last update last week, has also been fixed: this changed the types of tires during certain specific events (Permits, Missions or Circuit Experiences), which made gold almost impossible to obtain. You can find all changes from update 1.07 at this address.
