Oldenburg district – In the federal competition of “Youth training for the Olympics”, students from the Graf-Anton-Günther School took 12th place in judo. The seventh graders Jana Gavner, Sina Behrens, Josephine Eilers, Frieda Weerts, Kati Rudolph, Talea Loidl and Rebekka Galinowski had previously taken third place in the preliminary round. As a representative of Lower Saxony, GAG also achieved 10th place at the national final of the DFB School Cup in Bad Blankenburg. The seventh graders narrowly lost the soccer game for 9th place against Saarland 6:7 after a penalty shootout.
