Gracie Abrams has achieved a monumental milestone in her career by securing her first-ever No. 1 song in the United Kingdom with “That’s So True,” which has officially topped the prestigious Official Singles Chart, marking a significant achievement for the young artist.
The U.S. singer-songwriter has experienced an incredible breakout year, fueled by the successful release of her sophomore album, The Secret Of Us. This album not only debuted at No. 1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart in June but also made an impressive entry at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, solidifying her rising star status. Additionally, she garnered widespread recognition by performing as an opening act for Taylor Swift’s monumental Eras Tour, which showcased her talent to a vast audience.
“That’s So True” recently reached the impressive milestone of peaking at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100, showcasing its widespread appeal across the U.S. music landscape. However, it faced formidable competition from Gigi Perez’s “Sailor Song,” which had previously claimed the top position prior to this week’s intense chart battle. The Official Charts Company reported that the race was remarkably tight, with fewer than 1,200 chart units, including downloads, streaming, and physical sales, standing between the two singles. Notably, another track from Abrams, “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” is presently holding a strong position at No. 4 in the chart rankings.
Following his maiden U.K. No. 1 Album with Chromakopia, Tyler, The Creator secures his eighth top 40 hit with Lola Young-featuring “Like Him” landing at No. 33.
