Governors Unite: 14-State Coalition Launches Groundbreaking Bid to Rein in TikTok

AgenPress. Prosecutors in 14 US states have filed a lawsuit against TikTok, accusing the social media platform of harming the mental health of its young users and collecting personal data without authorization.

They mainly accuse the platform of “use addictive features to trick users into staying logged in for a longer period of time, which has negative effects on their mental health“.

The US Attorney’s Office highlights the notifications that are issued at every moment, the systematic succession of videos and the contents that aim above all to attract attention.
