A joint technical meeting was held in the primary health care sector of the Ministry of Health in the interim capital, Aden, to discuss maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health issues
The meeting included the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for the primary health care sector, Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Walidi, the population, Dr. Salem Al-Shabhi, the assistant undersecretary for the population sector, Dr. Ishraq Al-Sibai, the general managers of health programs in the two sectors, and a team of consultants from the WHO Regional Office
The meeting stood before analyzing the current situation of maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health in our country and exploring the main challenges and gaps that impede the effective implementation of programs for maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and the provision of services, guidance and technical and technical support to enhance these services in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organization
The participants overlapped on the set of problems, perceptions and solutions required for the success of the programs and reviewed the main achievements related to maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health that were achieved during the past two years.. in addition to exchanging experiences in this field.
The team will carry out a series of meetings with the competent health and academic leaders in order to assess the situation and come up with unified visions regarding health programs related to the health of the mother, newborn, child and adolescent and push them for the better.
