Hyderabad > The Telangana government has withdrawn the petition once morest the governor following the assurance of giving permission for the budget presentation. In the third week of January, the files requesting approval for the budget were sent to the governor’s office. But Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan was not ready to give permission. Then the government approached the court.
The petition was withdrawn following Advocate General (AG) BS Prasad said that the matter was related to constitutional crisis. After arguments from both sides, the matter was settled amicably. The dispute between the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) party and Telangana Governor Tamizhisai Soundararajan has reached the doorstep of the Telangana High Court.
Senior Supreme Court advocate Dushyant Dave appeared for the Telangana government. Last time, due to technical reasons, the Governor’s speech might not include the budget speech. The government has agreed to include the governor’s speech this time and the governor’s office will agree to the bill during informal discussions on Monday.
