Governor on protests in the UdeA: Support for the Mayor

In the midst of the protests taking place at the UdeA, University of Antioquia, and the excesses by the hooded men, the Governor spoke out.

The president, in his account of x, stated:

“These criminals find it very funny to attack education, vandalize and sow terror.”

Furthermore, he said: “I support the order of Mayor @FicoGutierrez for the Public Force to regain control of the University.”

Pointing out that this institution “belongs to the students and not to the terrorists.”

Why did the protests begin at the UdeA?

The events took place around 3 pm this Friday, March 15.

These excesses take place in the midst of tension in the university community due to the election process for the rectorship of the UdeA.

Moment in which the hooded men take control from various axes of the institution and several injuries appear according to the person.

In information provided by the authorities, an injured man is reported being carried by several people to take him to a health center.

As well as the presence of several injured people and a patrol car stolen and burned on the university campus.
