Governor of Guárico said to support review in Health Directorate

The governor of Guárico, José Vasquez, said he supported “any type of review” in the Regional Health Directorate, whose director Reyner Rondón is detained for her alleged involvement in irregularities. “This has nothing to do with the administration,” he declared.

Vásquez clarified that the Regional Health Directorate is “a centralized entity of the Ministry.”

The president stressed that the responsibilities of each director or president of an institution “are individual.”

“One thing is the operational, the daily dynamism, what we do in roads, in sports, what is being done in health and another element, is what must be coordinated is the administrative technically”, explained Vasquez during the inauguration of the Agricultural Fairs of Zaraza.

Vásquez defended his health management and stressed that Guárico is the only entity with 100% rehabilitated CDI. “Nobody can come to point out us, to discredit us,” he claimed.

The Guariqueño president pointed out that “if any comrade falls into the old corrupt vices such as lack of ethics and morals to commitment, to the trust that can be given, everyone has to assume their responsibilities.”

The Governor reiterated that his administration is ready to collaborate to take all the corrective measures “and if there are irregularities in the investigation process that is currently underway, such as alleged irregularities, it is good that everything corresponding to the law be applied.”

Last Monday, the Regional Health Directorate was the subject of an inspection by the Comptroller and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim). This procedure was ordered by the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic.

As a result of this, the Court of First Instance with Jurisdiction in Economic Crimes issued eleven arrest warrants once morest the same number of officials of the Regional Health Directorate, including its boss Reyner Rondón and her husband Luis Machado, who is the director of the Office of that dependency.
