The massacre of seven Mexicans in a resort in Guanajuato was a settling of scores, revealed this Sunday Diego Sinhue, governor of the state.

“It’s a matter of cartels and reckoning,” he told the media during a visit to the Mexican entity of Aguascalientes.

This Saturday, an armed group broke into the La Palma spa, located in the town of Cortazar, leaving seven people dead from shots: three women, three men and a child under 7 years of age, and another person injured.

Sinhue said in the Mexican state of Aguascalientes that the revenge crime may be related to the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel.

The governor of Guanajuato said that he wants “justice to be done quickly” and assured that those responsible for the multiple murders in the La Palma resort are going to fall.

Regarding the relationship of the murdered, he said that one of the women remains to be identified; although she stated that they are related to being related to criminal groups.

He also admitted that it is a series of revenge that has been taking place in the state of the Mexican lowlands for a long time, and eight massacres have been recorded so far this year, and that they are also related to the crime that occurs throughout the country.

However, he stressed that in Guanajuato 30 detainees have already been brought before the courts for these events.

For his part, he expressed his condolences to the relatives of the deceased, while regretting that this type of crime affects minors.
