Regarding the presentation of the annual report of the Cuban-Venezuelan social missions, the governor of Bolívar state, Ángel Marcano, applauded “the daunting task in terms of health and assistance that this cooperation group carries out in the state.”
In the general balance of 2022, more than 630,000 medical consultations, 2,000 prenatal care recruitments and more than 900 community health days stand out, accounting for the care of 55,000 Bolivarians.
“Our recognition is for you, who continue to honor your commitment to this homeland; thanks to their work we have been able to attend to the health of the people in a timely manner”, said the Governor.
During the presentation of the management summary, in addition to the regional president, the head of the Missions Office of the Cuban Embassy in Venezuela, Rodrigo Rodríguez Sanabria, was present; the first lady, Yajaira Arocha de Marcano; the sole health authority in Bolívar, Manuel Maurera, and members of the Movement of Friendship and Mutual Solidarity between both nations.
Dr. Adán Villavicencio, head of the Cuban Medical Mission in Bolívar, thanked the coordination between the regional government for the recovery of the different Diagnostic Centers, Rehabilitation Rooms and the strengthening of the Community Comprehensive Health Areas.
He highlighted the milestones achieved during this period. They also presented the perspectives for the year 2023, which pose the challenge of building a more efficient health model.
Governor Ángel Marcano reiterated his commitment to continue working together, to provide better and greater attention to each Bolivarian family.
He highlighted the importance of community deployment, which has not only recorded care statistics, but has managed to provide tools for preventive medicine.
