Governor not invited to CM’s Christmas party – Pinarayi Vijayan | Arif Mohammad Khan | Christmas Feast

Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Governor Arif Muhammad Khan has not been invited to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s Christmas party. Today at 12.30 the banquet will be held at the Masket Hotel. Journalists are also not allowed.

Ministers, religious leaders, leaders of political parties including the leader of the opposition will participate. The Governor is in Delhi. Raj Bhavan officials informed that he has not received an invitation. Usually someone at the level of Chief Secretary comes to Raj Bhavan and invites. The Governor will return to Kozhikode today but will leave for Delhi on the 22nd. Reach Thiruvananthapuram on the second date.

The Chief Minister and Ministers were invited to the Christmas party hosted by the Governor but they did not attend. The public relations department has been tasked to provide the pictures of the Chief Minister’s banquet as there is no access to the journalists.

Other bills passed by the assembly, including removing the governor from the post of chancellor of universities, are yet to reach the Raj Bhavan for the governor’s assent. Only the bill increasing the sales tax on liquor reached the Raj Bhavan and was approved by the Governor.
