Governor Asked to Eliminate Community Tax Debt at UPT Samsat Pangururan

PANGURURAN Waspada.co.id – The Regional Revenue Service (Dispenda) of North Sumatra has provided relief from vehicle tax fines of up to 85 percent for people who are victims of tax evasion at the UPT Samsat Pangururan which is considered inappropriate and unfair.

This was emphasized by legal practitioner BMS Situmorang SH, to Online Alert, Tuesday (28/3). “They (the community) feel that they have not made a late payment and have deposited it with a legitimate worker from the North Sumatra Regional Office cq UPTD Samsat Pangururan,” said BMS.

The Secretary General of the Central Leadership Council of the Samosir Community and Overseas Communities (DPP KoMPaS) advised that the criminal process against the perpetrators of embezzlement could proceed normally, without the need to push or hope for the Samosir Police Chief.

“The criminal process will only result in prison sentences for the perpetrators, and it is unlikely to be able to fully or completely return the money that has been deposited by the community. If we get, for example, an amount of Rp. 2 billion, it will also be complicated for the public prosecutor to distribute it to around 300 people,” he explained.

To protect victims and motor vehicle users whose documents are problematic due to tax arrears, it is more appropriate to focus on asking the policy of the governor, the Regional Police Chief and the Branch Head of PT Jasa Raharja Sumut to immediately erase or whitewash the outstanding obligations on behalf of the victims whose money the perpetrators have received.

“The amount of IDR 2.5 billion for the North Sumatra Provincial Government through the North Sumatra Regional Revenue Agency (Bappenda) is very small. However, they also have to be responsible for the losses of around 300 people in Samosir Regency due to the actions of their workers/people,” said BMS.

“Don’t be lulled by the legal process against the perpetrators. Meanwhile, documents for people’s motorized vehicles that are used every day have problems,” he concluded. (will/ward/d1)
