Governor Arif Muhammad Khan Shifts Stay to Calicut University Campus: Controversy and Security Concerns

Thiruvananthapuram: Governor Arif Muhammad Khan shifted his two-day stay to Calicut University campus following announcing that he would not be allowed to enter campuses in the state. The earlier decision was to stay at Kozhikode guest house on 16th and 17th night of this month.

The Governor will return to Thiruvananthapuram on the 18th following participating in the Sanatana Dharma Chair’s program at the university campus. The Governor will arrive at Kozhikode Airport from Delhi on the night of 16th and will reach the University Guest House. Kozhikode Muslim League state president Panakkad Sadikhali Shihab will attend her son’s wedding on 17th.

The Governor will be staying at the University Guest House that night as well. He will return to Thiruvananthapuram following attending the program at the university campus on the followingnoon of the 18th. As part of the decision to face the challenge of SFI, the governor himself intervened and shifted the accommodation to the university campus. With the arrival of the governor, heavy police security will have to be arranged in the university campus.
