In addition to the measures to protect schools once morest fires, put in place by the government, Alexander de Croo’s cabinet announces an additional system once morest false information on the internet.
“At the request of the Prime Minister, the Center for Cybersecurity Belgium formed a team of 7 analysts responsible for “screening” all the websites relaying information on the Evras guide set up by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. This screening will continue (at a minimum) throughout the weekend“, announced the Prime Minister’s office this Friday.
These are the sites “spreading hate speech” which are targeted. They will be “listed and reported to the Computer Crime Unit of the Federal Police who will take action“, adds the press release.
The measure goes even further: “For each site propagating hate speech and fake news on the Evras guide, an investigation will also, and systematically, be launched in order to determine the funding flows.“.
“We do not touch the school which must be a safe place for our children and adolescents. We live in a country of tolerance where debate is permitted but where violence cannot govern this debate. Sex education has been one of the pillars of our public health for years. It also allows children and adolescents to become aware of their physical integrity and their rights.” repeated the Prime Minister
