Government tenders maintenance and repair work on 15 overpasses

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) launched a tender for maintenance and repair work on 15 overpasses (tunnels and viaducts) located on both national and departmental routes.

This is the so-called MOPC No. 40/2024 “National Public Tender for maintenance and repair works on overpasses (tunnels and viaducts) Ad Referendum to the budget reprogramming”, published with the ID No. 449,070 on the portal of the National Directorate of Public Procurement (DNCP). See tender here

The date set for the reception and opening of offers is Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 09:00 and 09:30 respectively, with an estimated investment of G. 20,000,000,000.

Scope of the tender and deadlines

Currently, the MOPC is in charge of 15 overpasses, the works for which have been completed, and in order to avoid future problems it is necessary to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of them.

The maintenance and repair works on the overpasses, according to the technical specifications, will be carried out in the following locations: Semidei tunnel; Itapúa tunnel; Madame Lynch tunnel, roundregarding and viaduct; Semidei viaduct; Comando del Ejército – Ex Caballería viaduct and Ñu Guasú viaduct.

As well as the Santa Teresa viaduct; Mariscal López viaduct; Eusebio Ayala viaduct; Fernando de la Mora viaduct; Mariano Roque Alonso roundregarding and viaduct; Surubi’i roundregarding and viaduct; Pilar del Norte roundregarding and viaduct; Abasto Norte roundregarding and viaduct and Tres Bocas tunnel.

As for preventive maintenance, it includes a comprehensive review of the entire infrastructure and its equipment to subsequently carry out corrections, repairs, replacements and everything else that is necessary for its optimal operation.

The tender also establishes that the awarded company will be responsible for flooding, cable or equipment theft during the term of the contract, which runs from the signing of the contract until December 31, 2026, with the exception that for fiscal years 2025 and 2026, it will be subject to the availability of approved budget credits and allocation of the financial plan.
