Government plans to build more homes in Luque after municipal tax exemption

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Urban Planning, Housing and Habitat (MUVH) plans the construction of more homes in the city of Luque, through the regularization of more than 1,500 properties belonging to the State portfolio and that obtained real estate tax exemption from the local municipality and municipal taxes.

The homes will benefit more Paraguayan families, through the different programs that are in force, indicated the institution in charge of housing policy.

The announcement was made by the MUVH minister, Juan Carlos Baruja, following a meeting held with the mayor of Luque, Carlos Echeverría, on which occasion the communal chief delivered IM Resolution No. 1132.

The measure establishes the exemption of real estate tax and municipal taxes in favor of properties of the former bank Oga Rape SA located in Luque, which currently belong to this State portfolio, by law.

In this way, the Government seeks to advance its actions to give more families access to decent, safe and quality homes, which also generates employment opportunities in local communities.
