Jul 1, 2023 | The regional Executive, through the Nueva Esparta Social Foundation, Funsone favored families in the Robledal sector, this Thursday, June 29, providing free medical care in different specialties with the program offered by the Health Train.

The inhabitants of this remote town of the Macanao Peninsula municipality expressed their satisfaction at seeing how the government of Morel Rodríguez Ávila offers them a helping hand with this social program carried out by the president of Funsone, Gloria Rodríguez.

“From very early on the wagons of the Health Train and the medical personnel, specialists and our work team moved to this remote town of Macanao in order to provide all families with quality medical care and our unconditional help, that is the objective of Governor Morel Rodríguez Ávila, to bring well-being to the people of Margarita and Coche”, commented Gloria Rodríguez.

He also noted that they also offered the services of general medicine, internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, obstetrics, adult and pediatric nephrology, dentistry, and medicines were delivered. Visual acuity exams, Pap smears, immunization, deworming, hairdressing, IUD placement registration, legal counseling, and nutrivaso were distributed.

For Sixta Barceló, 60, a resident of the Morel Rodríguez urbanization, it is extremely important that these programs reach her community: “I have been experiencing back pain for days and here we only have one clinic that does not have medicines or a good medical service that benefits us,” he said.

Hermary Valerio, lives on Don Pedro street and brought her grandson to the pediatrician: “They saw me for general medicine and I took advantage of bringing my grandson to the pediatrician and thank God they gave us the medicines.”

Antonia Marcano, pointed out that because they live in a remote area it is difficult for them to go out to be constantly checked, however, with the arrival of the Health Train, it has fallen from heaven “I thank Governor Morel Rodríguez for taking us into account and visiting us because there is a lot of lack that does this type of medical assistance in the community”.

Mary Velásquez commented that with the arrival of this program she was able to obtain the medicines for free. “One of the best things is that following the doctor checks you up you can pick up the medications for free, we just hope they come to this community more often,” she said.
