Government in coordination with the Government of Ñeembucú intensifies cleaning work of waterways

Asunción, IP Agency.- In coordination with the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, the Government of the Department of Ñeembucú advanced in the cleaning work of the water channels that are being carried out in the area, following the intense rains recorded in recent days.

From Public Works they report that the machinery is deployed in different affected points and performs the corresponding tasks.

The backhoe of the Engineering Command of the Armed Forces is dedicated to cleaning the natural channel in the Montuoso area to facilitate the drainage of water and preventing new floods.

The long arm backhoe placed pipes in Villalbín, with the aim of improving water flow and reducing flooding levels.

The short-arm backhoe is carrying out tasks of cleaning and clearing canals in Las Hermanas, in collaboration with the backhoe provided by the Rural Association of Paraguay (ARP) Regional Ñeembucú.

For its part, the retropalite worked yesterday in assisting displaced families in the Apu’á Valley area, in addition to carrying out work on the arrangement and alignment of the Yataity-Tacuaras road.

The amphibious backhoe arrived at the starting point in Potrero Esteche, Guazú Cuá district, where it will begin the work of cleaning water channels.

This week also the amphibious retrofit provided by the Yacyretá Binational Entity will begin the work of cleaning canals in a 20km radius.

These works are carried out in coordination with the National Government, through the MOPC, with the support of the Yacyretá Binational Entity, the Engineering Command of the Armed Forces, the Ñeembucú Regional ARP, the municipalities and other institutions to carry out these works. jobs.

Delivery of food kits in Ñeembucú

On the other hand, the Government continues to deliver food kits to families affected by the floods. Officials from the National Emergency Secretariat (SEN) and the Government of Ñeembucú delivered, this Tuesday the 16th, food kits to 165 families affected by the floods in the district of Guazú Cuá.

Delivery was also made to the towns of Palenque, Caranday Cora, Paso Typy and 3ra. Caranda’yty Company.

This Wednesday, April 17, delivery continues in the districts of Montuoso Costa, Potrero Piru, Esteche and Estero Camba.
