The Cuban government has confirmed and justified the request for aid to the World Food Program (WFP) and the United States for the purchase of powdered milk for children under 7 years of age.

Likewise, it is highlighted that Cuba has also contributed to WFP operations with donations of inputs, such as 2,500 tons of sugar annually since 1996, to countries such as the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Honduras, Haiti, Ethiopia and Angola.
CUBA ASKS FOR HELP WITH CHILDREN’S MILK POWDER

Likewise, the Cuban government has contracted 500 tons with the United States, which falls within the exceptions to the embargo. Also, 245 with Canada, 500 more with Brazil and 600 with other suppliers.
