Caretaker Interior Minister, Bassam Mawlawi, announced that “the cabinet approved promotions for the security services and the item of hiring civil defense volunteers.”
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati signed, immediately following the session, the decrees related to the promotions of officers in the army, internal security forces, public security, and state security from the rank of colonel to the rank of brigadier general, as of 1/1/2020, 1/7/2020, and 1/1/2021. And 1/7/2021 and 1/1/2022 and 1/7/2022 in addition to the decrees for the placement on the promotion schedule and the promotions of colonels for the year 2023.
He also signed the decrees for the placement on the promotion schedule and the promotion decrees for the year 2023 from all ranks for all security forces that were received by the General Directorate of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
