Regarding the axis on improving health services and introducing women and children to reproductive health, the government’s program includes efforts to implement, develop, and activate projects focused on care. These efforts also encompass supporting early childhood development, and developing policies and plans to advance women in the health field through the following:
1- Continue activities to enhance the efforts of the presidential initiative aimed at supporting women’s health and the golden thousand days to develop the Egyptian family, improve demographic characteristics, and enhance the establishment of
2- Women’s health support centers, providing early detection, diagnosis, and treatment services in line with international standards. The program also includes completing the procedures for establishing the first branch of the global center “Gustave Rossi” in Egypt.
3- Achieving a balance between population growth and economic growth by improving population characteristics and implementing the 2024-2025 executive plan for the National Population and Development Strategy 2023-2030.
4- Attention to medical services provided to children suffering from malnutrition and behavioral modification diseases, including early diagnosis and treatment through presidential initiatives.
5- Developing maternity and child care clinics and school health care services.
The program emphasizes safe and effective pharmaceutical services, including the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care, which ensures safe and effective drug treatment by addressing the following:
1- Taking the necessary measures to ensure the availability of medicines and securing their supplies.
2- Raising awareness of the dangers of medicine misuse, governing the dispensing and consumption of medicines to rationalize use and reduce waste, and utilizing local equivalents for some imported medicines.
3- Supporting capacity building in developing pharmaceutical industries, good manufacturing practices, and drug safety monitoring.
4- Supporting the Egyptian drug manufacturing and registration system, which contributes to increasing export opportunities to international markets.
5- Setting incentives to encourage investments in the pharmaceutical industry.
The program aims to activate digital transformation in the field of health care.
The government is working to activate digital transformation in the healthcare sector to contribute to the development of the healthcare system and services provided to citizens. This involves implementing a program to activate the role of digital health, aiming to utilize artificial intelligence and digital services in the medical system. The activation of the role of digital health is achieved by leveraging global transformations in the digital health field to achieve better health outcomes through the following:
1- Expanding the use of modern technologies, such as the Internet of Things, wearable devices, telemedicine, and artificial intelligence applications in disease diagnosis. The program also includes enhancing research and development in public health.
2- Expanding the analysis of health data and using it to support decision-making and develop evidence-based policies.
3- Improving health data governance by establishing regulatory, legal, and supervisory frameworks.
4- Enhancing the capabilities of the workforce in various fields of information technology.
5- Utilizing artificial intelligence technologies in diagnosing diseases and providing remote treatment services and electronic follow-up.
6- Moving from isolated digital health services to a comprehensive digital health system by integrating all medical service facilities into the electronic system, while ensuring data confidentiality and completing the unified electronic medical record for citizens.
The program emphasizes the role of governance in health services provided by various health facilities to reduce waste and achieve citizen satisfaction. The program also aims to issue a medical liability law to protect the rights of both the health team and patients, while ensuring the safety of health facilities.
