Colombo: Action once morest the Sri Lankan Cricket Board following the miserable loss to India in the ODI World Cup. The government sacked the Lankan Cricket Board. Sri Lankan Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has given the charge to the interim management committee headed by former Sri Lankan player Arjuna Ranatunga.

After the defeat once morest India, the Lankan government asked the cricket board for an explanation. Then Sri Lanka Cricket Secretary Mohan de Silva resigned last day. Sri Lanka Cricket did not specify the reason for Mohan’s resignation. Sri Lanka is on the brink of elimination from the ODI World Cup in India without reaching the semi-finals. After completing seven matches, they managed to win only two games.

Sri Lanka are seventh in the table with four points. The Kushal Mendis-led team is all set to face Bangladesh on Monday. Sri Lanka lost by 302 runs once morest India on Thursday. Batting first, India scored 357 runs for the loss of eight wickets, while Lanka’s reply ended with 55 runs.
