Gourdon. New Vagabond Ideas presents the Arts & Home exhibition

The Friends of the Library association, which supports the inter-municipal library of Gourdon for readings in nursing homes, at the Maison Perce-Neige, or in other places, has changed its name and expanded its statutes. Its new name, Idées vagabondes, now lends itself to the organization of cultural events in partnership with the BIG and the community of municipalities, and its culture department, since it will extend its events to the entire territory of Quercy Bouriane.

Claude Clément, former president of the association, recently replaced by Bernadette Carnignac, comments that in addition to its members, eleven artists have joined the association.

Its first event resulted in the organization of a first exhibition at the Espace des Cordeliers. Entitled Arts & Home, it is open to the public until August 28, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. You will be able to get to know these eleven artists and craftsmen who will share their wanderings with you.

At the same time, the exhibition extended to the BIG, a cultural hotspot in Gourdon, where you will find a selection of works representative of the eleven artists. The latter have also formed a collective, following an exhibition at Saint-Cirq-Souillaguet, from which most of them come.

Originality and know-how are their watchwords. A demonstration of quality that you cannot miss, because it is indeed regarding Bourian creators, proof that art in all its forms does exist in our rurality.

To be discovered at the Espace des Cordeliers: paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photographs, paper creations, waxed concrete, driftwood.

The Arts & Home exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of Jean-Marie Courtin, Mayor of Gourdon, and to the well-known melodies of Michel Herblin’s harmonica.
