Göttingen triathlete Felix Buck-Gramcko qualifies for the World Championships in Hawaii

At the age of just 25, young Felix Buck-Gramcko from Göttingen qualified for the Ironman in Hawaii. There is, however, a major hurdle.

Göttingen. Sport is an integral part of his life. At the beginning of August, the triathlete Felix Buck-Gramcko from Göttingen qualified for the World Championships in Hawaii at the Ironman competition in Maastricht, Netherlands. With a total time of 9:25:41 hours he finished sixth in his age group. In the overall ranking it was enough for 18th place.

For the 25-year-old it was the first Ironman of his career. It was not foreseeable beforehand that it would be enough to qualify for the World Championships in Hawaii. “The main goal was to finish,” reveals Buck-Gramcko. It was difficult to assess his chances in advance. “I was hoping that on a good day it might be enough for the World Championships.” For him it is a lifelong dream to take part in the legendary Ironman in Hawaii.
