According to the Doctor Cristina Garcia Francothe initiative to create “droplet of blood“, was born in the field of Sociodemography and was basically born from the need that children have for the Mexican Association to Help Children with Cancer.
“To receive their chemotherapies, these little ones need a minimum of blood values and therefore it is important that there is sufficient availability so that family members do not have to be running, so that they can have their chemotherapies on time and in good shape.”
He clarified that this is how the whole idea originally arose, the project is led by the student Diana Laura Jacome García, who is in charge of the digital part, of all the platforms both Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook.
That is where all the information they handle is loaded, since now, with the digital age, they want the campaigns to reach everywhere, not just the School of Medicinebut also to all the faculties and cities that can join the campaign.
He stressed that this project is extremely important for the children of AIM, who constantly require blood and platelet donors, since they clarify doubts and myths regarding the donation.
“This page provides information to citizens, they are told regarding the myths and realities regarding donating because many people are very afraid of to givebecause they are uninformed, so that is our job, precisely, that all those people who are concerned or who at some point have thought regarding donating, to come to us to clarify their doubts and lose that fear of to give“, he pointed out.
