The game is supposed to be released in 2023, but Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic are not entirely sure regarding this.
Work on the remake of Gothic is progressing at a steady pace, but neither the authors of the game from the studio Alkimia Interactive, nor the publisher THQ Nordic have even an approximate release date yet. Stores listing 2023 as a release date simply use a stub.
The page with the most popular questions from the Gothic community on Discord now reads:
“We do not currently have a planned release date. We will announce it when the developer and publisher are 100% sure of it.”.
The Gothic remake is being developed using Unreal Engine 4 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
