Gotham Knights could direct its co-op mode up to four players

Long announced as a title that can be enjoyed solo, or a co-op with a friend only, Gotham Knights might review its roadmap and integrate a cooperative mode for up to four players.

While Gotham Knights will offer the possibility of embodying the sidekicks of Batman for an Action-RPG oriented title, the restriction of the online mode to two players sounded like a cold shower. With the option to play as Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, or Red Hood, it made sense that Gotham Knights would feature co-op for up to four friends.

Originally slated for 2021, Warner Bros Games Montreal’s title was pushed back to 2022 with the promise of making the best possible experience for Gotham Knights. It seems that these additional months of reflection have pushed the studio to review the copy and finally direct the multiplayer towards a co-op of up to four participants. Indeed, as pointed out by a user on Reddit, the game’s PlayStation Store page has been updated, with the mention “4 network players” concerning the online part of the title.

With its next release expected on October 25, 2022, no doubt all this will be revealed soon, and why not during the Summer Game Fest which will be held from June 9.

Gotham Knights is expected for October 25, 2022 on PC, PS 4, PS 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
