In Soviet cinema, it was not customary to savor bloody scenes and violent episodes. Despite this, director Dmitry Svetozarov shot his film “Dogs”. This project broke all records for the number of moments when viewers want to turn away from the screens or close their eyes.
When viewing the tape, the Goskino officials experienced genuine horror. They made a categorical decision – not to release the project for wide release. Against all odds, the action-packed thriller, released in 1989, has its fans.
The film is hotly discussed on the Web today. True, reviews of the painting dedicated to the tragic fate of the Aral Sea are mostly negative.
