Gorgui Sy Dieng, president of the Kébémer basketball club, is a candidate for the Steering Committee of the Senegalese Basketball Federation (FSBB). Although captain of the national team, he holds a manager’s license and can therefore present himself.
More than fifty applications have been registered for the Steering Committee, including that of Gorgui Sy Dieng, who thus shows his desire to contribute to the development of basketball.

Other candidates, such as Maïmouna Mbengue (president of JA) and Cheikh Diop (president of AS Douanes), as well as major clubs such as DUC and Ville de Dakar, have also applied.
However, Mr. Babacar Ndiaye could be the only candidate for the presidency of the FSBB, because the Convergence for the Renewal of Senegalese Basketball (CRBS) and the Union of Basketball Players and Basketball Players of Senegal (UBBS) have decided not to present a candidate. for lack of an independent electoral committee. The General Assembly of the FSBB will take place on May 6th.
