Google Wallet Goes AI With “Everything Else” Feature – DigiTech.News

Coming soon to Google Wallet is “Everything Else,” a new AI-powered feature that will allow all users to create digital versions of lots of documents.

First, let’s clarify how “Everything Else” works on Google Wallet. This function will replace the previous “Photo” option“Everything Else” will allow you to scan a photo showing a specific document (an event ticket, a gym membership card, etc.), and then transform the document contained therein in a digital pass are Google Wallet.

And this is thanks to artificial intelligence, which on this Google Pay Wallet will be able to not only identify the type of document, but even suggest the appropriate content.

Therefore, as soon as we add a document that contains sensitive information, such as health data or identity documents, it will be classified as private.

What are the catalogable documents?

Now let’s look at how “Everything Else” will catalog the documents. After taking a photo of the document, Google Wallet will extract the information and will allow us to modify the common fieldsas well as adding new information. Through “Everything Else” we can choose to classify the pass as one of the following types:

  • Calling card
  • Car insurance
  • Driving license
  • Events and Tickets
  • Health insurance
  • Identification
  • Library card
  • Loyalty card
  • Passport
  • Residence permit
  • Student card
  • Tax ID code
  • Vehicle Registration
  • Electoral card
  • Other

Once completed, the digital pass will be displayed under the carousel credit/debit cards. Google will also allow us to access the original photos of the documents when we view the digital copy.

Unfortunately, as reported 9to5google, The “Everything Else” function is currently being released in the United States. But it won’t be long before it arrives in Europe too.
