Google Meet, a virtual meeting platform, now allows its users to switch devices without having to disconnect from an ongoing call. You can easily transfer your virtual call from your cell phone to your computer and vice versa;

The new feature called “Switch here” is responsible for making these call changes and is available as soon as you enter the Google Meet website or its application. There is no need to look for a specific button or learn regarding it, as the idea is just to make the device switching process easier and faster.

In addition to the device switching feature, a new function that serves to maintain a call in more than one location has also arrived on Google Meet. With this functionality, users can keep two devices in different rooms with their meeting in progress if they wish.

To use the feature on more than one device, simply go to “Other membership options” in the settings, and select “Join here too”. This way, you can safely use two devices for your meetings if necessary.

The news arrived for personal accounts and also for subscribers of some of the Google Workspace levels. They are being rolled out starting today, so it may still take a few days for all users to be able to use the new video calling features.

Google has also been working on a new update that will add note-taking function to Google Meet soon, in addition to other interesting news.
