Google released this week which is releasing a video presentation generation app for more users with the Gemini. With advanced artificial intelligence features, the Google Vids makes it easy to create videos for a variety of purposes, such as turning customer support articles into videos, creating training videos, sharing company announcements, and creating meeting recaps.
The service allows users to insert relevant documents, slides, voiceovers, and video recordings into the timeline and generate a presentation video for their coworkers. Additionally, the platform offers features such as automatic insertion of stock footage, generation of script and AI voiceovers, making the video creation process more efficient.
Check out the demonstration video:
Google Vids can be accessed on this page on Macs/PCs with the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox installed (on Windows, you can also use it with Microsoft Edge). Google warns that the service runs in other browsers, but not all features may be available.
The tool is available by default to Workspace orgs with access, but Google warns that potential usage limits may apply to features like “Help Me Create” and AI voiceovers starting in 2026. The Vids rollout period started in November 7th and can take more than 15 days so that it appears for some users.

**Interview with Alex Dupont, Tech Specialist at Avaide**
*Date: November 8, 2024*
**Interviewer**: Welcome, Alex! Thank you for joining us today to discuss the recent release from Google that links closely to video integration in Google Slides. How does this new app enhance the experience of creating presentations?
**Alex Dupont**: Thank you for having me! The new video presentation generation app from Google is a game changer for anyone creating slide decks. It allows users to seamlessly generate video content that can be integrated directly into Google Slides, making presentations more dynamic and engaging. Given that visual content is increasingly important in communication, this feature is particularly timely.
**Interviewer**: That’s exciting! For users who may not be familiar, could you briefly explain how one can embed a video in Google Slides?
**Alex Dupont**: Absolutely! Users can import videos into their presentations by first opening the desired Google Slides file and selecting the specific slide. Then, they can go to the “Insert” menu, choose “Video,” and either upload from their computer or insert a link from platforms like YouTube. This new app goes a step further by allowing you to create video content tailored to your presentation ahead of time.
**Interviewer**: How do you see this impacting the way people present information in a professional setting?
**Alex Dupont**: I think this will significantly enhance engagement during presentations. Video content can capture attention more effectively than static images or text. The ability to incorporate tailored video presentations can also ensure that the message is communicated more clearly and memorably.
**Interviewer**: Are there any tips you would give to users looking to maximize the effectiveness of their video presentations?
**Alex Dupont**: Definitely! Keep your videos concise and focused on key points. A few minutes is often enough to convey your message without losing the audience’s interest. Additionally, ensure the video quality is high, and consider adding captions for better accessibility. Lastly, engage with your audience by encouraging questions and feedback after your video segment.
**Interviewer**: Great advice, Alex! Lastly, any final thoughts on this new tool from Google?
**Alex Dupont**: I think it’s an exciting time for educators, marketers, and business professionals. As tools like this continue to evolve, they will not only make presentations more attractive but also support more effective communication overall. I’m looking forward to seeing how users will creatively leverage this technology!
**Interviewer**: Thank you, Alex, for your insights! It sounds like Google is paving the way for more innovative presentations in the future.
**Alex Dupont**: Thank you! I’m glad to be here and share these developments with your audience.
