O Google announced today the launch of three new features for the Chrome. The objective, according to the company, is to improve search suggestions for users.
Among the changes are personalized suggestions on the new tab page, more images for suggested search categories, and improvements to the performance of suggestions under poor network conditions.
The first new feature: when opening a new tab, it will be possible to see search tips based on what the user has already searched for before. This means that, if something specific was searched for, Chrome will suggest searches related to the same topic.
The second enhancement focuses on visual aids for research. Chrome will start showing more images for search suggestions in the address bar, especially for broader shopping categories and products.
Previously, the browser would only show photos if you were looking for something very specific — for example, an exact model of car. Now, even when performing a more general search, such as “SUV”, it will show photos to help you find what you are looking for.
Finally, Google has updated Chrome on iPhones and Androids to work better with a weak connection. This way, even in remote places or with poor internet signal, it will still be possible to receive good research tips.
The new features, in fact, aim to make navigation better and smarter, with search tips that make more sense and are more beautiful. Despite being released today, the changes should reach all users gradually.
