Mourning for Paul Sorvino: the “GoodFellas” actor, who mimicked police officers and mafia gangsters, died at the age of 83.
The American actor Paul Sorvino, who starred in films such as “GoodFellas – Three Decades in the Mafia” and “Nixon”, is dead. He died on Monday morning (local time) of natural causes, as announced by his spokesman Roger Neal.
Sorvino has had health problems in recent years, the statement said. He was 83 years old. The actor had three children, including Oscar winner Mira Sorvino (54).

His best-known role was mobster Paul Cicero in Martin Scorsese’s (79) drama “GoodFellas – Three Decades in the Mafia” (1990). His other films include “Reds”, “The Company” and “Bulworth”. In the crime series “Law & Order” he played a New York detective.
Several “GoodFellas” stars died in a very short time
With Sorvino, another actor from the “GoodFellas” cast has died within a few weeks. Tony Sirico died in early July at the age of 79, and Ray Liotta at the age of 67 at the end of May. Paul Herman died on his birthday last March at the age of 76.
According to his spokesman, Sorvino is to be buried in Los Angeles in the well-known “Hollywood Forever” cemetery, where Rudolph Valentino (1895-1926), Mickey Rooney (1920-2014) and Burt Reynolds (1936-2018) have their final resting place . (sda)
