In the company of the fans of the interpreter of “La Pituca”, the widow Gladys Lupinta and her children accompanied the coffin to its final resting place and starred in heartbreaking scenes of pain.
The artist’s wife was quite affected when saying goodbye, while her daughter Cinthia Gutiérrez might not help but burst into tears by dedicating an emotional farewell message to her father.
“I want to thank all the people who (are present) today, my dad’s close friends, who is an icon of national music. I am really very sorry, very sad because today my father is leaving, but somehow it comforts me that he will be calm, he will be at peace ”pointed out the young singer.

At another time, Tongo’s daughter thanked the shows of support and assured that her father’s legacy will continue following his departure.
“We thank you for your expressions of affection and also to tell you that my father’s musical legacy continues, will continue in force and my father will always be present in our hearts. I hope they never forget him”, he added.
