Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. has left French club Paris Saint-Germain after six long seasons. The player joined Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal on Tuesday. Now PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi has come forward saying that it is difficult to say goodbye to Neymar.
“Saying goodbye to a PSG legend is certainly difficult. Because it will always be Neymar’, Al Khalaifi wrote on social media. “I will never forget the day he first came to the club. Likewise, what he has done for the club in the last six years is unforgettable,” said the PSG president. “We have lived through extraordinary moments. Neymar will always be part of our history. I want to thank him and his family. We wish him all the best for his future and new adventures,” Khelaifi added.
Neymar’s Saudi entry comes after many rumours. Neymar’s contract with Al Hilal is for two years. Neymar had one more year left on his contract with the French club. With the reports that Neymar wants to leave PSG, many clubs have come forward for the player. Then the player signed a contract with Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal. Neymar’s transfer is for 160 million euros (Rs 1454 crores). The superstar will also play in Al Hilal in the number 10 jersey.
