According to rumors shared this weekend, the ASUS is considering ending the Zenfone lineup to bet only on cell phones from the ROG family.
People who are familiar with the matter say that the Zenfone 10 may be the last of the entire line, and this is also behind the delay for the device to be made available in more markets.
With this internal change likely to happen this second half, sources also say that the team working on the development of Zenfone phones will be incorporated by the ROG team.
Some employees may be moved to other ASUS internal sectors.
This supposed end of the Zenfone line would be happening due to the low return that the devices have been delivering to the company. On the other hand, ROG smartphones manage to attract consumers not only for their specifications, but also for the name associated with the gamer public.
Selling ROG phones and accessories offers a much higher profit margin. Perhaps this can make ASUS executives focus on what has been working.
For now, ASUS does not comment on the matter. Therefore, we emphasize that everything should be considered as just another market rumor.
It is worth remembering that the Zenfone 10 is a smartphone that has Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and caught the public’s attention for being a compact flagship, something that is rare in the current market.
The Asus Zenfone 10 is not yet available in Brazilian stores. To be notified when it arrives.
