Recently, Shinsegae Group affiliates, including Shinsegae Construction and Shinsegae Food, are speeding up their golf wear business that reflects Vice Chairman Chung’s interests. Shinsegae Construction has applied for the trademark ‘YOUNG JOYFUL CLUB’ related to the golf wear business, and the golf wear brand ‘YJC’ products are being sold at a store at Trinity Club, a membership golf course operated by Shinsegae Group.
Previously, Shinsegae Food also applied for a trademark for the word ‘Jrilla’, a combination of the initials ‘J’, which is Vice Chairman Chung’s English last name, and ‘Gorilla’, in December 2021, and in October of the same year, Jrilla Golf wear was launched.
Vice Chairman Chung, who is also an influencer with 800,000 followers, has often been shown wearing J.Lilla golf wear on social media.
