TotalEnergies announced on Thursday a summer discount of 12 cents/litre of fuel at all of the brand’s motorway service stations in mainland France, in order to support holiday departures.
According to several French media, this decision follows government pressure for the company to help consumers cope with rising energy costs. This discount will begin July 1 and end August 31. It is added to that of 18 cents/litre decided by the State, the overall discount in TotalEnergies stations will therefore reach 30 cents/litre. This amounts to a saving of 15 euros for a full 50 liters.
