Al-Abyad, who visited Nabih Berri Governmental Hospital in Nabatiyeh, pointed out that “the large numbers of corona will begin to recede soon, and closing the country will be tantamount to the execution of the citizen and the daily-worker,” noting that “vaccination campaigns give immunity to the community, and mitigate the impact of the new mutation, which despite Despite its rapid spread, most of the preparations do not require hospitalization.
During a tour of the hospital departments, accompanied by its Director General, Dr. Hassan Wazna, and Representatives Yassin Jaber and Ali Bazzi, the White Minister stressed the importance of its support for the services it provided, pointing out, “We see a significant escalation in Lebanon in the number of infections with the Corona virus, and this is due to the nature of the new mutant, Omicron. Al-Abyad stressed that “it is difficult to close the country now, because it constitutes a big problem, whether it is economic or educational, because we know that a large part of the Lebanese people work daily, and the closure leads to cutting off their livelihood and constitutes execution for them.”
He addressed the students by saying: “For the third year in a row, we do not see a serious school year, and this leads to an educational disaster, and we are sure that the vaccine will help us to open our schools safely, and we hope that the wave will be fast and recede quickly, and we expect the numbers to decline, or else It remains at the current high rate.”
On the issue of medicine, Al-Obeid revealed that “it has been resolved with the Banque du Liban, and we will witness a breakthrough in the field of medicine in the coming days, and that milk will be available tomorrow in pharmacies, and medicines during the next two weeks will be widely available, but that will not solve the price problem.”
He pointed out that “the recent decisions taken will open the way for generic medicines to enter, with high quality and at prices that people can afford, and we will support primary health care centers that provide medicine to patients almost free of charge.”
On the issue of hospitalization, Abyad confirmed the existence of a project in the ministry “to control the issue of private hospitals that behave in an unethical manner and demand high amounts of money from the patient.”
