The Spanish League is preparing to file a complaint regarding the renewal of Kylian Mbappe’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain, alleging the impact of the agreement on the financial stability of European football.
The striker, who was widely expected to join Real Madrid when his current contract expires on June 30, has signed a new three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions announced on Saturday.
And “La Liga” considered in a statement, Saturday, that the actions of the head of the French team, Qatari Nasser Al-Khelaifi, “pose a danger to European football,” adding that it will file a complaint “to the European Football Association, the French administrative and tax authorities and the competent authorities in the European Union.”
newspaper quoted “ESPN“La Liga said that this type of agreement attacks the economic stability of European football, jeopardizing hundreds of thousands of jobs and the integrity of the sport.”
“It is shameful that a club like Paris Saint-Germain might sign such an agreement while clubs that can afford to sign a player without seeing their wage bill jeopardized find it difficult to sign him,” the statement added.
LaLiga accused Paris Saint-Germain of violating the “current EU and France economic control rules”.
Earlier on Saturday, La Liga president Javier Tebas described PSG’s renewal of Mbappe as an “insult to football”.
“What Paris Saint-Germain is doing by renewing Mbappe’s contract for large sums of money… following incurring 700 million euros in losses in recent seasons and with a salary bill of more than 600 million euros, is an insult to football,” Tebas said on Twitter.

Tebas considered that Al-Khelaifi is “as dangerous as the European Super League”, in reference to the renegade league that did not see the light of day, but the clubs of Real, Barcelona and Juventus are still sticking to it.
French international striker Kilian Mbappe decided to stay with his current team, Paris Saint-Germain, instead of moving to Real Madrid, officially signing a new contract until 2025.
And from the “Parc des Princes” stadium before the match once morest Metz in the last stage of the French League, the Qatari president of Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, announced the extension of the contract for an additional three years, thus putting an end to Real Madrid’s desire to include him in his ranks.
After Al-Khelaifi announced to the Parc des Princes fans the news of the contract extension, “I am very happy to be in France, in Paris, in my city. I hope to continue doing what I love to do, which is playing football and winning cups.”
This coincided with the official announcement of Mbappe staying with the team he joined in 2017 from Monaco for 180 million euros.
Reports indicated that the last offer made by Real to the twenty-three-year-old was approximately 190 million euros, a signing bonus and a net annual salary of 40 million euros, in addition to 50% of his image rights, like the rest of his players.
But those close to Mbappe prefer the 100% offered by Saint-Germain.
Talks regarding Mbappe’s decision to stay in the French capital began in the followingnoon, especially through the French newspapers “L’Equipe” and “Le Parisien Aujourduy” and the Spanish “Marca”, in addition to radio “RMC”.
Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Al-Ammari, told the Egyptian website Kora Plus, that her son had reached an agreement with both Saint-Germain and Real, and he had to choose between them.
“All negotiations are over,” she said. “We have an agreement with Madrid and Paris. Now it’s up to Kilian to choose.”
“The two offers are equal… On the one hand we have our image (Madrid) and on the other hand the financier… There is no big difference because the two clubs are equal.”
And “Marca” and “RMC” reported on Saturday that Mbappe contacted Real Madrid president Florentino Perez via “WhatsApp” to inform him personally of the decision to stay in Saint Germain, and he wanted to move to the royal club last summer, but the Qatari administration of the French capital club stood in the way. Complete the transaction.
According to Marca, Peres responded to the 2018 World Cup champion, “I am sorry for what happened in the past few days. They (Saint Germain) destroyed the dream that you had since you were a child.”
Mbappe and Saint-Germain conclude their season later on Saturday when they celebrate the league title in front of the “Parc des Princes” fans in a meeting that will be a farewell to the late Argentine winger Angel Di Maria from the capital club following seven seasons in its ranks.
