After a particularly well-equipped Samsung Galaxy A54, it’s the turn of its little brother, the Galaxy A34 to go through our labs. The opportunity to see that the Korean has definitely taken care of its mid-range offering.
The Galaxy A34 is a well-finished and efficient smartphone. Its very bright Amoled panel benefits from Samsung’s expertise in this area, and is very pleasant to use. Without reaching records, the selected SoC makes it possible to offer a fluid multitasking experience and play in reasonable conditions. But unlike its big brother (the Galaxy A54), it quickly shows its limits in photos. That said, and despite very solid competition, the general experience still makes it a very recommendable model.

An alternative
The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is a nice surprise that we didn’t necessarily expect. Its strengths allow it to stand out in the mid-range market and especially against its main competitors (in particular the Realme X50 5G). Its Amoled panel is one of the best at Samsung, as is its enormous battery life of almost 26 hours. By opting for a Snapdragon processor, the Korean firm is making a very good choice, offering this A42 very good performance and, above all, 5G compatibility at a lower cost.
