The 77S95D, the 77-inch (196 cm) version of the 65S95D that we tested is undoubtedly one of the best TVs on the market at the start of 2024. While it is ultimately quite similar to the previous model, the S95C from 2023, it benefits from much higher brightness in HDR, and of course from the manufacturer’s new anti-reflective coating, which is simply unmatched today. We also appreciate the infinite contrast of its QD-Oled panel, its calibration and gaming performance, as well as the remote Slim One Connect box which makes the TV installation more versatile. In short, a faultless one, except for the absence of Dolby Vision.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product in the last month, with safety rules to exclude prices from stores whose VAT policy is unclear (so-called “grey” stores, typically in the case of imports from China).

An alternative

The LG 77G3 — the 77-inch (196 cm) version of the LG 65G3 that we tested — is quite simply the best TV tested to date in our laboratory. It combines all the advantages of Oled technology (contrast, precision, responsiveness, viewing angles) with the high brightness of a Mini-Led model. Even the anti-reflective filter is even more efficient. If you look closely, you will find some minor flaws, such as a lower color coverage compared to QD-Oled TVs, a stand sold as an option, or a fairly standard remote control. The fact remains that this TV is currently the best for all uses (films, series, video games, TV, and sports).
