The first keyboard in Logitech’s new Prodigy line, the G213 is primarily designed for gaming. However, it does not use the very fashionable mechanical switches, but rubber dome switches, which are more economical and quieter, but also a little less responsive. Let’s see if this newcomer will satisfy the players.
Rather classic in its functions, the G213 nevertheless provides the essentials, with electronics adapted to the game, multimedia keys and backlighting – which unfortunately is not managed key by key. Typing is pleasant nonetheless, firm enough for rubber-domed switches, although that translates to not as muted noise as we might have hoped compared to a mechanical keyboard. Too bad however that this G213 is sold so expensive, since its price is thus not far from that of a mechanical keyboard, with more reactive and more robust switches.
