This was stated by Maurizio Gasparri, Forza Italia group leader in the Senate and member of the commission that is dealing with the “dossieraggi” investigation.
How will the bicameral commission of which he is a part act in relation to all this?
“It has dealt with it, with a first round of hearings. Since there was, then, an initiative of the judicial authority, we respected it. It is wrong, however, to speak of inertia. Until we have a clear picture of the situation, we will continue”.

“The fact that the GIP rejected the request for arrest for Striano and Laudati, presented by Cantone. We await with curiosity the decisions of the Review Court, before which the Umbrian Prosecutor’s Office has appealed. September 23 will be a crucial date”.
Will this response impact your business?
“The initiative of the judiciary is one thing, the work of the commission is another, as Colosimo clearly explained. Cantone’s sending of documents is a good thing. In my opinion, we are facing the most serious scandal of the post-war period.”
On what aspects can the new documents help to clarify?
“We must take into account the “culpa in vigilando”, that is when a person responsible for a structure does not supervise. In newspapers, for example, there is the editor in chief, who is called that because he is responsible for what is published, even if he has not read it or was not present in the editorial office. He cannot say I did not know it”.
The question already raised, meanwhile, is the alleged incompatibility of De Raho as vice-president of the Commission.
“This role cannot be played by someone who was the national prosecutor when these episodes occurred, or rather, by someone who, as emerged in the hearings, issued an evaluation judgment on Striano, being seconded to him. I do not want to draw hasty conclusions, nor say that he agreed with him, but I want to understand what happened, if and why he did not notice anything.”
He’s been denouncing this conflict of interest for months and no one has lifted a finger…
“An absolute disgrace. Unfortunately, she belongs to a caste of untouchables who decide for themselves and others. I find this behavior unpleasant and unacceptable.”
What do you expect from the Review Court?
“Nothing sensational, except confirmation of what I have been saying for months.”
Could there be new accomplices?
“Some newspapers have acted as mailboxes for some informants. There are ways and worlds of conducting investigations. It’s one thing to follow a lead, to wear out the soles of your shoes, as Chiocchi did when he conducted the famous investigation on Monte Carlo. It’s another thing to receive papers, more or less reliable. This is what we contest, the newspaper “Il Domani” and that Trocchia who, in recent days, has been often talked about on TV. In this sense, I consider him very lucky. Not everyone gets, on the same day, the news of an investigation that concerns you and at the same time the request for archiving”.
